Disney's Magic Music Days! They have performance opportunities for just about every ensemble in your department, lots of workshop options to increase the educational value of your trip, and, for marching bands, nothing compares to marching down Main Street in front of tens of thousands of spectators! Students are able to have a lot of fun while in a safe environment. They can't easily get lost or wander off too far. Disney hosts student performances every day, so they have this all down to a science.
When I was in high school, I performed as drum major with my marching band. When I taught high school, I brought my band down to perform, and now I'm planning to take my university band this December. Even these 18-22 year-olds are excited about the trip! Who doesn't love Disney World?
