Now, more than a century later, the Rose Bowl is still one of the most prestigious sporting events. This esteem extends not only to the football teams but also to the marching bands. With its nationally televised six-mile parade and guaranteed on-air coverage of the halftime performances, the Tournament of Roses festivities honor participating bands more than any other bowl game.
